"And preach as you go, saying, `The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.'"

Matthew 10:7

Jesus teaches that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. The essence of this truth is this: that where Jesus the King is, there is the Kingdom of God, so when we personally accept Jesus as our Lord and we obey Him, then He is King in our life as long as we submit to Him. The Kingdom is the premise for all of his teaching and was exemplified in His life, death and resurrection. How can we as Christians walk in this same Spirit in God’s Kingdom even now while living on this earth? Jesus wants to teach us the truth of His Kingdom and allow His power to have an effect in our life if we choose. This eternal Kingdom is not obvious to the world today, except by the power of His Holy Spirit that makes the Kingdom evident to those who believe in His resurrection and are born again. All mankind and especially Christians can benefit from having a full understanding of His Kingdom. When we study the Word seeking to understand His Kingdom we will have the greatest revelations attainable to man and we will realize that the Holy Spirit's purpose is to establish His Kingdom in us.

In order to have a full understanding of the Kingdom this Wiki is designed to take us through the Bible to see where Jesus Himself spoke His Kingdom into existence. Before adding or editing this Wiki, please take time in prayer waiting and listening to the Lord. Jesus promises that He will speak to our hearts by His Holy Spirit and give us insight into all of His blessings, if we hunger and thirst after Him. The time we spend adding to this Wiki should be considered time spent in prayer seeking a revelation of the relationship between the Father and the Son that has existed before time began. As we seek for this revelation of His Kingdom, ask God to show us personally, what is His plan forour life, so that we will be able to obey and dwell in His Kingdom forever? It is only by revelation that a Christian can really know God's perfect will for their life. “Hear, O heavens, and listen, O earth; for the Lord has spoken...” Isaiah 1:2 NRSV.The Kingdom is where there is joy, peace and love, which are our heart’s real desires and contains all that we really need in this world. Once we hear God speak into our hearts we must obey Him and pray that God will strengthen us, so that we will not slumber or fall back from God's calling on our life. When He reveals this wisdom into our life we will know how to serve Him accurately. If we not only believe His words about the Kingdom, but also live this life of faith, then our lives will have evidence that the Kingdom of God is at hand. How we live our life on this earth makes a difference in eternity.

This is a study in the principles of the Kingdom throughout the Bible. The first and foremost principle that Jesus commanded us is to seek His Kingdom as a first priority in our life. The secret to success in our relationship with God is to have a spiritual hunger that results in expectation and anticipation. With this fact in mind, every moment we spend meditating on the truths in this Wiki and praying to instill these truths intoour life will result in life changes that are pleasing to the Lord. Pray diligently, in Jesus name, asking Him to reveal His Kingdom to you and others. When we act upon God given knowledge, then our life is full of blessings, not only for ourselves, but for others too. Just like David who wrote the Psalms we should desire to be in the presence of God continually. A Christian who seeks to live in the presence of the Lord will be blessed by the Holy Spirit with a new boldness to enter into God’s presence, which is the King’s throne room.

God wants to remind us every day what is the most important value we are to have in our life. The most eternal value we are to have is our relationship with Jesus Christ. In order to be blessed in this life we must experience a true relationship with the King, only then can we have eternal life in God's kingdom. Experiencing God’s relationship with His Son will help us to finally value obedience and give us the strength to serve Him as citizens of His Kingdom.

In order to know every aspect of God’s Kingdom we must learn the basics to becoming a citizen of God’s kingdom. We are given citizenship when we repent of our sins and are miraculously born again. Once we have gained this privileged citizenship, we will be surprised to find that we now have a natural longing to live responsibly and obey the new commandments the Lord, because he has written them supernaturally upon our hearts. When we continue to live in obedience day after day we seal our relationship with Jesus. Only when we walk with Him in obedience can we walk in His holiness and then our life miraculously mirrors His. Being transformed into the image of Jesus is truly and simply what it means to participate as a citizen in the Kingdom of Heaven.

"One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple."
Psalm 27:4 RSV
